What are Weld-On Continuous Fence Clips?

A farm gate with mountains

Weld-on continuous fence clips are pre-formed steel clips that hold drill stem pipe rails, cable, or sucker rod against fence posts and are welded in place. They provide a strong, permanent connection without hand-fabricating a bracket for every joint along the fence line.

How Do Weld-On Fence Clips Work?

Each clip is a formed steel strap that wraps around the rail (or, in cable-clip versions, accepts cable or sucker rod) and seats flat against the post. Once positioned, the clip is tack-welded, then finish-welded for a solid, permanent joint. Because the clip is precision-formed to the pipe, there's no fitting, grinding, or coping at the post.

  • Welded permanence: A permanent, tamper-resistant connection for corrals and perimeter fence
  • Fits common drill stem sizes: Available for 1 1/2" through 2 7/8" pipe, in 10-gauge and 12-gauge steel
  • Consistent, professional joints: Precision-formed so every connection matches, post after post
  • Versatile: Versions hold pipe rails, cable, or sucker rod

Weld-On Clips vs. Other Attachment Options

Option Best For
Weld-on clips Permanent fence where strength and tamper-resistance matter most
Bolt-on straps Sites with no welder, burn-ban conditions, or fences that may need to move
Welding rail directly to post Fast setups where a welder and power are already on site

Weld-on clips deliver the permanence of welding with the speed and consistency of a pre-made fitting; no custom brackets, no guesswork
